    Introduction to Maple

  • You can estimate what you will need to get on subsequent tests in order to obtain a desired average AVE, by using the following equation:
  • Math 148: .36*max(T1,T2)+.6*(sum of 3 highest quizzes)+.24*F+.22*H = AVE (Q's counted on basis of 0 to 10)
  • Math 151: .18*(T1+T2)+.6*(Q1+Q2+Q3)+.26*F+H+M = AVE (Q's, H & M counted on basis of 0 to 10)
  • Math 251,333 & 402: .27*(T1+T2)+.36*F+.10*H = AVE
  • Note to students: On my exams, you are responsible for examples done in class as well as homework problems.

Homework Instructions for 300 and 400 Level Math Courses

Weekly assignments will be given each Wednesday or Friday and will be due at the beginning of class on the following Monday. All problems submitted will be graded on the basis of 0, .5 or 1. The weekly grade will be the fraction of correct answers out of the maximum possible for that week. The final grade will be the percent correct out of the maximum possible score. Please make sure that the assignment for the Monday prior to the test is graded and returned in time for me to distribute it to the students by at least the Friday before the test.
