Oh. One time, I had a band in high school and we were playing through a circuit of different "battle of the band" shows until we had finally made it to the state-level competition. We were playing the state-show at the Illinois State Fair. It was 3000 degrees Celsius. The other bands were pretty cool so we came up with the idea of taping our demo CDs to the bottoms of Frisbees, and tossing them out into the crowd while we played. We were all really pumped to be playing, and I threw out my Frisbee, and hit a little girl right in the face. She started crying, but screw her. That's rock.

Reason for joining a cappella:

I heard them sing last spring and thought "Woah, it'd be freakin' sweet to sound as cool as they do!" And so I tried out, hoping that I'd be good enough to get in. Plus, singing is awesome.

My first rehearsal. I was so nervous and everyone was so nice. It made me feel really comfortable and want to stay in the group =) We talked for a bit, did an awesome warm-up (the Shu-myela one), and then got right to singing and from then on those rehearsals were the best part of my week.

Hm, I guess I'd be either running a yarn store, or traveling the world with a construction company, or raising kids and teaching them how to sing, or... Saving the world, I guess.
