Mastering Instructional Design-based software
One of the most important ways to effectively design instructional materials is to know how to use Instructional Design-based software. As we move deeper into the technology age, it is not enough to merely know how to write or design instructions. We must know how to use web-based platforms to place and organize instructional materials, as it is becoming more common to place materials online. The purpose of this tutorial is to teach Technical Communication and Information Design (TCID) and Information Architect (IA) graduate students, who are aspiring to become Instructional Designers, basic principles of how to create an online help system using the Instructional Design-based software, RoboHelp. This tutorial is intended for TCID and IA graduate students who have little to no knowledge of how to use RoboHelp. In this tutorial, students learn:
- What RoboHelp is
- Why RoboHelp is useful
In addition, students learn:
- Interface of RoboHelp and how to create a platform to do project
- How to create books, topics, and pages within a Table of Contents
