Creating books, topics, and pages

This module teaches you how to create books, topics, and pages for your Online Manual.

Books

A book defines what a particular section of your Online Manual will be about. It is like a chapter. Creating books help you to organize your information so that fellow students can easily find information. Your books are created within the Table of Contents (TOC).To create a book, follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Project Manager panel at the upper left hand corner.
2. Double-click on the Table of Contents folder.
3. Double-click Flash Tutorial (Default).
Your Flash Tutorial (Default) panel will appear to the right of the Project Manager pod. Click and drag the right border of the panel in order to see all of the icons.
4. Click on the New TOC Book icon (last icon on the left).
5. Type Chapter 1: Introduction to Flash, under Book Title, then click OK.
You have now created a book. You should see a purple book icon to the left of Chapter 1: Introduction to Flash.
