Adding Header 1
In the last section, you created a style sheet for your header. To apply the Header 1 to your page, follow the steps below:
- Go to Format in the toolbar above and select Styles.
A Styles and Formatting box will populate to the right of the screen.- Go back to your Master Page, and click where ever you want your Header 1 to appear.
- Go to the Styles and Formatting box and double click Header 1.
A long black horizontal strip appears on your Master Page. This is where your Header 1 will be. Type Header 1 inside of the strip, and you will see the text displayed in white just as you styled it in your style sheet.
Applying Master Page
To apply your Master Page to one or more of your pages, follow the steps below:
- Go to the Topic List panel at the bottom of the screen.
- Right click the page(s) that you want to apply your Master Page to.
If you want to apply your Master Page to multiple pages, press Ctrl on your keyboard and click on each selection that you want.- Select Properties.
- Go to the Master Page section under the General tab and select Master Page 1.
You make this select in the Master Page section shown.- Click OK.
Your Master Page is now applied to all of the pages that you selected. In the Topic List panel below, double click the page that you chose to apply your Master Page to. You will see that your Master Page has been applied to your page(s).
