Mission:
We are the Commuter Student Association of Illinois Institute of Technology. Our mission is to help create a sense of community and friendship among the commuter student population and to provide helpful resources for commuters.
Through various events and functions, the Commuter Student Association aids commuter students in becoming active in campus life and becoming informed about all available student activities and relevant news. CSA gives commuters a voice in the IIT community and the Student Government as well.

General Body Meeting and Elections
Date: April 2, 2009
All commuters are welcome to attend the general body meeting today at 1:00PM in the Wishnick Hall Auditorium. As usual lunch will be provided.
Elections for the majority of the positions will be held. Many of the current positions will be open, due to departing executive board members. If you have ever thought how you can make positive changes for the commuter at IIT, then being part of the CSA executive board is a great start.
Additionally, a presentation on the benefits of bicycling will be given by cyclists from IIT. Question internal combustion and check it out.
Ping-Pong Tournament Results
Date: April 2, 2009
The ping-pong tournament, held March 26th, was a great sucess! Thanks to the hard work of David Vidal the tournament was a possibility. Fourteen contestants in total particapated. The winners of the tournament were:
- 1st: Mano Zhanguo
- 2nd: Stefan Kocis
- 3rd: Insik Kim
Each winner was given a Visa gift card in the denominations of $50, $40 and $30 for first, second and third places respectively. Photos of the tournament may be found on our photos page.
General Body Meeting & Bike Workshop
Date: March 4, 2009
Commuters, tommorow we will be having our second general body meeting for this year. As usual we will be having our meeting in the auditorium of Wishnick Hall starting at 1pm. Lunch will be provided.
As spring draws closer there may be some of us who decide to pull out our bicycle in order to get around. Sometimes we may have neglected our bicycles and realize there is a need for maintenance. Lucky for you, we will be having a bicycle specialist come tomorrow to give us a quick bike workshop. Don't miss it.
A few changes have been made around the website. To the right a list of events and happenings, CSA and commuter related, will be shown and kept up to date. Additionally, a new calendar entitled "Free Lunch @ IIT!" is now up and running. The intention is that you, commuters, will actively participate in keeping the calendar up to date so that everyone can benefit. If you wish to be part of the team that keeps the calendar up to date, then come to our meeting tommorow and we can get you on board.
Commuter Appreciation Day!
Date: November 30, 2008
This Thursday, December 4th, from 12-2PM Commuter Appreciation Day will be held! Commuter Appreciation Day will be held in the Wishnick Hall building. There will be free food and many, many, many prizes to be won. Additionally, as a good stress reliever there will be a masseuse giving out free massages. Don't miss it!

CSA General Body Meeting and Commuter Lounge Opening

All commuters are welcome to attend our 3rd general body meeting for the 2008-09 academic year. The general body meeting will be held in Wishnick Hall Room 108, from 1:00PM - 1:50PM.
The
Commuter Lounge will be officially opened November 10th! It has been a
long wait but well worth it. The Commuter Lounge is located in the
basement of the Hermann Union Building. Amenities available in the commuter lounge
include a refrigerator, microwave, couch, and a big screen TV. Make sure
to bring your friends, relax and hang out for a while.
