CTA Buses
Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) provides convenient way to travel in the city of Chicago.
CTA has 151 routes that cover not only the city of Chicago, but also 40 surrounding suburbs.
CTA route #29 goes through IIT campus, on State street.
You can view CTA maps, showing CTA bus routes, in our "Maps" section. You can also see all of the individual bus route maps and schedules from the CTA's bus schedules webpage.
Make sure to check out CTA's Night Owl service when travelling between midight and 5 a.m.
Pace Buses
Pace offers suburban bus service throughout Greater Chicago area. Pace has 240 routes that connect many Chicago suburbs to Metra and CTA trains, and CTA buses.
Open RTA map in the Maps section to see the coverage map of Pace bus routes.
You can use your U-Pass on most of the Pace routes.
You can also search the desired route and see route maps and schedules on the Pace website.

Shuttle Buses
Shuttle Bus ScheduleIIT provides shuttle bus and mini-van service free of charge to students, faculty, and staff. Buses run from the Main Campus to the Downtown Campus with stops including Dominick's, Union Station, and Northwestern Station. Minivan service serves the Main Campus and off-campus apartment complexes (Lake Meadows, Prarie Shores).
Service runs on a schedule which varies semester to semester, and can be found at the shuttle bus webpage.
