Purpose: Develop and understanding of solar energy
principals and design an experiment to determine feasibility of
solar thermal technologies in Chicago.
IPRO
328: Spring 2002
Purpose: "...this ipro was aimed at making
the participants learn about the urban heat island effect and its
environmental impacts. at the same time, gaining knowledge about
the physical properties of redi-mix concrete as a building material
and developing concepts for concrete construction in urban areas
to reduce the heat island effect was essential to the proper completion
of the task. creating concepts for further exploration of solutions
to the urban heat island effect using concrete was an added optional
objective."
IPRO
