TechCon 2005 will take place in the Hermann Union Building (HUB) and Morton Park at the Illinois Institute of Technology.  Of historic importance, the Hermann Union Building echoes the signature campus architecture of famed architect Mies van der Rohe. Glass curtain walls rise on either side and internally supported plate girders span the roof. The heavy reinforced concrete support columns inside suggest something of the scale of the clear spans.
