Lin Cai received the M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada, in 2005 and 2010, respectively. She was a postdoctoral research fellow in Electrical Engineering department at Princeton University (2011). After that, she worked as a senior engineer at Wireless R&D center Futurewei Technologies Inc. (2012-2014). She has been an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, Illinois, USA, since August 2014. Her research interests include green communication and networking, broadband multimedia services, radio resource and mobility management, and cognitive radio networks.

My research interests lie in the area of wireless communications and networking with topics including

       Modeling and performance analysis of distributed communication networks

       Medium access control and resource management

       Green communications and networking

       60GHz communication networks

       Cognitive radio networks

       Cross layer design
