Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations
General Information:
The course introduces numerical methods
for solving different types of partial different equations (parabolic,
hyperbolic and elliptic equations). The main numerical issues such as
convergence and stability will be discussed. Topics include
finite difference methods and finite volume method.

Class Announcement:
- There is no class on Mon, Nov 7th.
- The in-class part of the midterm is scheduled on Nov. 9th, Wed, during
the regular lecture time and place.
- The in-class part of the final exam is scheduled on Dec. 6th, Tues,
8-10am.
- Office hours during the final exam week: 2:30-3:30, Mon, 12/5.
