Research interests

Natural language processing, pattern recognition and machine learning.

Currently I am working with Dr. Shlomo Argamon to develop methods for identifying and extracting key trial information from medical research papers.

I am married to Tiffany Summerscales, who is an associate professor in the Physics department at Andrews University. When I have time, I like to get outside and hike, bike, or kayak.
