We represent the positive young men and women of The Caribbean who desire to do what is necessary to succeed - not only for ourselves, but for the benefit of our region
Many Countries. One History. One Identity. Education for ALL.
Caribbean Visionaries, a student organization based at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago comprises of some of the Caribbean’s most astute Presidential Scholars. The organization started in the year 2010 when 28 St. Lucians were the first of the region’s students to have the opportunity to attend IIT and was formerly called ‘St. Lucian Visionaries’. Their strong academic performances spurred the school to broaden its horizon to more Caribbean students. Every year, IIT representatives travel to the Caribbean to recruit new students. The group’s recent name change to ‘Caribbean Visionaries’ was deemed necessary to incorporate all the Caribbean territories represented at the school- Antigua, Grenada, Jamaica and St. Lucia. There's a formal board and a current member base of approximately 60 students. Caribbean Visionaries is well on its way to becoming a Level 1-on campus organization and hosts some of the most successful academic, athletic, community service and social events.
