
SCIENCE - ALL ABOUT SPIDERS

Objective: This lesson is design for a fourth grade class to enhance their
knowledge about spiders.
Strategies: Will the students be using the computer Lab? No
Instructional Activities: What will the student's do? The student's
will go to the website and camouflage the crab spider.
Technology material : Camouflage
the spider and identify
the spiders
Using Technology: How is the activity structured? Individual work: The
students will work independently in whole groups and share ideas.
- Activity 1.The students will go to the website Camouflage the spider and
follow the instruction given there.
- Activity 2. The students will go to the website identify the spiders and look
under other spiders click and chose a spider to write a book report.
- Activity 3. The students will go to the website identify the spiders and look
under poems to write a poem.
- Activity 4. The students will go to the website identify the spiders and look
under spider anatomy to label the four main body parts of a spider.

- Activity 5. Spider Food Hunt Game: Go to the website identify the spiders
look under spider food hunt game and begin to play the game and keep your
score.
Assessment: How will the activities be assessed? The students will be able to
identify each spider that they read about in the lesson. They will also be able to label the four main body parts of a spider.
