TEDxIIT speakers are from all areas including: Design, Entertainment, Technology, Smart Grid Innovation, Renewable Energy, Diversity, Interdisciplinary/Entrepreneurship Education, Eco-architectural Design, Bio-Medical Engineering, Music, Food, Social Development, Neuroscience, etc. No religious or political ideas.

The speakers composed of five alumnus, two faculty members, five community leaders as well as IIT student and overseer. The Exponential ideas worth spreading will range from growing economy, high tech and decarbonization to philanthropy and entrepreneurship.

Sara Beardsley
Currently leading the AS+GG project in Seoul, Korea, Sara Beardsley, an alumni and licensed architect, will explain how architecture can be seen in an exponential level by examining the reduction of carbon emissions.
Ann F. Clark
While working on a ground-breaking hospital project in Haiti, Ann F. Clark learned that architecture school doesn’t teach you what you need to know to make meaningful architecture in a developing country.  Ann, a faculty member and architect, will talk about how future architects can contribute to rebuilding the community in a third world country.

 

 

Dr. Chris Drew
Known for his Masdar's environmental management and the city's waste management strategy, Dr.Chris Drew, director of Sustainability AS+GG, will explain how cities can be envisioned as environmental things rather than places of pollution.
Dr. Nina Ellis-Hervey
Coined as “The Next Oprah”, Dr.Nina Ellis-Hervey, licensed psychologist, will provide listeners with a way to strengthen their lives holistically by utilizing psychological theories related to self- concept, self-esteem, motivation and locus of control.

 

Cheryl Jefferson
Acclaimed author, TV/film producer/director and United Nations Commission on the Status of Women participant,Cheryl Jefferson, will describe how criminal traditions including honor killing, child marriage, and FGM can be stopped by art because art can go where the law hasn't.
Neil Milsted
Currently working for a Chicago VoIP company as a computer programmer, Neil Milsted, will focus on augmented reality, how the paradigm of computer usability is changing and the effects of changing from static to dynamic and from passive information sources to providing active guidance."

 

 

Retired Colonel Jill Morgenthaler
Recognized as a woman of many firsts in the US Army, Retired Colonel Jill Morgenthaler will share one major leadership secret that will show how to exponentially increase one’s performance as a leader.
Bob Roitblat
Drawing on his eclectic background as a serial entrepreneur, speaker, actor and competitive Popeye, Master of Ceremonies Bob Roitblat will help you get to know each of the speakers and will keep the program flowing.

 

 

Jacqueline Roche
A current Leadership Academy Scholar, Jacqueline Roche, an IIT psychology student, will share how she achieved the life that she has now and take us through the road that made her who she is today.
Nik Rokop
Named as one of the top 100 Tech visionaries in Chicago, Nik Rokop, the managing director of the IIT Stuart Knapp Entrepreneurship Center, will show that students can and should start businesses while in school, enjoying the benefit of a supportive environment and a valuable network of resources.

 

 

Avelo Roy
Featured on CNN Money and Chicago Tribune among other news media, Avelo Roy is an alumni, serial entrepreneur and spiritual aspirant talking about the importance of building meaningful relationships and the role it plays no matter what we end up doing in life.
James H. Stone
Acknowledged for his multiple leadership roles, James Howard Stone, an economist and business executive, will present us with his insights on how to create exponential employment growth.

 

Manu K. Vora
