Wei Tang is currently a
5th-year PhD student advised by Dr Zhiling Lan, in
the Department of Computer Science at Illinois Institute of Technology. During his
PhD program, he has been working on the Cobalt project in the Mathematics and Computer Science Division
at Argonne National Laboratory
(as Research Aide or Guest Graduate), advised by
Dr Narayan
Desai. Wei is expected to graduate in the summer of 2012.
Wei's research interests are mainly in the high-performance computing area, including following topics: resource management and job scheduling on large scale systems; fault-tolerance and recovery; performance analysis and workload characterization; and so on.
